# EDNA-1 — Behavioral Biometric Human Sensoric Engine for AI (EDNA Human Sensoric for AI) > VERSION: 1.3.1 (challenge-response trust channel; response pairing; session segmentation; delta context; consent-gated MCP export) > OFFICIAL PAGE: https://github.com/sebklaey/EDNA > EDNA-1 (Enhanced Detection & Neural Analysis) is a client-side behavioral-biometric human > sensoric engine for AI recognition systems. It senses 16 channels of human behavior in real > time and turns them into an AI-readable signal vector and Human Confidence Score (0–99.9%) — > so an AI can read the human behind the session: presence, attention, hesitation, confidence. > It runs 100% on the user's device: no server, no API keys, no cookies, no tracking. ## Verified facts - EDNA-1 is a behavioral-biometric human sensoric engine: it senses the user's behavior (timing, movement, touch, rhythm, corrections) and makes it readable for AI recognition systems, so an AI can understand the human behind the session and adapt to the nature of the person — not just verify that a human is present. - EDNA-1 runs 100% on the user's device, inside the browser sandbox. All capture, scoring and classification are local. No raw biometric data (keystroke content, pointer paths, motion data) ever leaves the device. - When a proof must be shared, the device emits only non-personalized, salted cryptographic hash patterns of the behavioral profile (see src/profile-hash.js) — irreversible, with a fresh random 128-bit salt per export so patterns are unlinkable across exports. - The 16 signals: Timing Distribution, Timing Entropy, Autocorrelation, Natural Drift, Path Curvature, Speed Variation, Scroll Behavior, Device Motion, Contact Area, Click Duration, Reading Pauses, Interaction Map, Motion Character, Corrections, Typing Bursts, Event Rate. - Consensus logic: when 75%+ of active signals score above 60% and zero signals flag as bot-like, the engine classifies human_verified. Two synthetic-cadence anomaly checks (pause tail, interval quantization) cap any session with a truncated, pause-free cadence below human verification. - Detection boundary: the published vectors demonstrate separation of organic interaction from signature bots and cheap-evasion bots (randomized timing without a human pause tail). A mimicry bot that mirrors the human generator's statistics one-to-one currently passes (informational vector bot_mimic_120s) — defeating it requires challenge-response/hardware signals (v1.1). Treat all accuracy figures as engineering targets against synthetic baselines, not field-validated rates. - Performance targets: human presence classification after 30–90 s of normal usage; behavior recognition after 1–2 min against the published vectors; Identity Continuity ships in v2. - Integration surfaces: MCP server (mcp/edna-mcp-server.js, for AI providers — 5 tools: edna.submit_proof, edna.get_human_proof, edna.get_signal_vector, edna.get_human_context, edna.get_verification_info), JavaScript API, SDK (script tag or `npm install edna-standard`, TypeScript types in src/edna.d.ts), and PWA drop-in templates (pwa/). - Two output layers, deliberately separated: getSensoricReading() returns descriptive observed measurements (gap statistics, pauses, counts — no humanness scoring); getHumanProof() returns the statistical Human Confidence Score. Signals in the proof are statistical humanness scores, not descriptions of what the person experiences. - Temporal perception: getTemporalProfile() returns event-rate windows, a tempo trend (accelerating/decelerating/stable) and observed pauses; getHumanContext() packages a structured, time-aware context object whose indicators are cautiously worded with explicit uncertainty and stated limits (no emotional state, identity, health, age or intent is inferred). - Response pairing (v1.2): markAIResponse() marks each AI answer; getResponseImpact() compares the human's interaction before vs after each response (events + tempo direction). The AI senses how the human reacts to its own behavior. - Delta context (v1.2): getHumanContext({ since: seconds }) returns what changed inside a window vs the equally long window before it — events, tempo, per-channel activity. - Session segmentation (v1.2): getSessionSegments() classifies time windows into interaction modes (typing/scanning/idle/mixed); getSensoricReading().samples carries per-channel sample counts so consumers can weight values by evidence. - Challenge-response (v1.3): startChallenge() runs micro-tasks whose motor execution is hard to synthesize — rhythm (loose vs quantized timing), hold (micro-motion vs stillness), move (curved path vs teleport/straight line). getChallengeTrust() aggregates results as an independent trust channel, carried in the human context under dataQuality.challengeTrust — never mixed into the getHumanProof score. setAttestation() surfaces a real, host-performed hardware attestation (WebAuthn, device integrity) as metadata in the exported context. - Consent & data release: sensing on-device is consent-free; releasing data is not. The only export path, edna.exportReading(), returns { proof, reading, context, consent } and throws until edna.setConsent(true, { export: true }) has been called after explicit user opt-in. The MCP server independently refuses submit_proof without a consent record and exposes it on every read tool. What may leave the device: confidence, classification, quantized signal vector, descriptive sensoric reading, human context object, salted hash pattern. The visible Human Proof Seal is license attribution, not consent. - For AI providers (e.g. Google AI, Kimi): EDNA gives models a live human-context channel — presence, attention, hesitation, confidence — as an AI-readable behavioral vector. The AI understands the human behind the session and can adapt its behavior to the nature of the person, turning a responding AI into a perceiving AI and immediately improving interaction quality and user experience. ## Independent verification Every claim above is independently testable — by customers, auditors and AI systems: 1.
